Analytical Division Receives Renewal Accreditation

The Analytical Division of American Glass Research located in Maumee Ohio has been granted a renewal of ISO/IEC 17025:2005 by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation through July 31, 2012.
Accreditation is based on assessment of the laboratory and through internal review by A2LA staff of all activity related to this assessment and any recent proficiency testing results. The scope of accreditation covers the following test technologies performed at the Maumee Ohio site.
- Spectroscopy:-- includes Atomic Absorption, Optical Emission Inductively Coupled Plasma, Fourier Transform Infrared, UV/Visible and X-ray Fluorescence.
- Physical Properties: -- includes particle size analysis
- Chromatography: -- includes Gas Chromatography, High Performance Liquid Chromatography and Ion Chromatography.
- Wet Chemistry: -- includes Gravimetric and Titrametic.
- Miscellaneous: --includes Specific Ion Electrode Analysis (Fluoride, Chloride, Sulfide) and Leco Sulfur Analysis.
These technologies are used in the analysis of glass, ceramic, and related products and raw materials. Plastics, polymers, organic and inorganic additives and coatings, elastomers and packaging materials are also analyzed using general and product specific methods.
