The Polariscope is a laboratory tool that can be used to identify and evaluate residual strain in annealed glass containers and similar products.
Standard Strain Discs are used as reference standards against which the colors exhibited by glassware in the Polariscope may be compared.
The Strain Discs meet the ASTM C-148 requirements for reference standards.
